Director's Report

Welcome

The Vermont Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) exists to enable Vermonters with disabilities to be employed and to live successfully in their communities.

If you are a Vermont employer, we can assist you to retain your valued employees who have or develop a disability to remain productive workers. This will save you the cost of retraining and lost productivity.

If you are a person with a disability which affects your ability to work, we can assist you to identify a job goal and provide you with the services you need to work.

In 2002, Vermont VR Counselors provided services for 7,236 Vermonters with disabilities, and they assisted 1,222 people to become or remain employed. These employees increased their earnings by $11,000,000 as a result of VR services.

VR is a small, publicly-funded program within Vermont's Agency of Human Services. Individualized, vocational services are delivered from 12 VR office locations throughout Vermont.

Our home page provides you with information about our programs and identifies other resources which will assist people with disabilities to fully participate in their communities.
